Responsibilities

Design architectures and create new services that operate reliably at an extremely large scale

Implement capabilities and features ranging from OS level config changes, OS agents, and deployment pipelines

Technically strong and productive; someone who knows how to balance speed and quality with iterative and incremental improvements

Understand operational excellence and know-how to infuse a culture of being proactive within your team

Recommend and justify major changes to new and existing products and establish consensus with data-driven approaches

Required

BS degree in CS, EE, or equivalent

5 years of industry experience developing code at the Linux OS level (agents, plugins, daemons)

Experience with Linux distros preferably Debian, open source, GitHub, deployment pipeline, terraform, ansible

Experience in Linux security and compliance

Experience in building/packaging software components

Languages: Proficiency in any of Python, Go, C, Java, bash

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, honest and open communication

Handle hard problems with a positive 'can do' attitude

Team player able to work with others at all skill levels, and able to go beyond when needed

Preferred

Technical experience with Linux OS and security features, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines at a detailed level while understanding high-level design

Good collaboration with different teams that come from different backgrounds

Clear and concise communication

Strong troubleshooting skills and a curiosity to dig deep and quickly understand new issues
