Responsibilities
Contribute to patient-centered care by ensuring accurate and timely processing of laboratory specimens
Meticulously handle and document specimen information to support diagnostic testing and patient health assessments
Support patient wellness by maintaining high standards of specimen handling and processing
Facilitate efficient coordination of specimen collection, processing, and testing
Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and laboratory staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of results
Perform lab processing duties with precision, following established protocols and procedures to maintain accuracy and reliability of results
Uphold stringent standards of cleanliness, safety, and quality control in the laboratory environment
Qualification
Required
Must have a strong ability to work independently as well as an effective team member
Must display strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively relate to all medical staff
Must have excellent ability to analyze test results, computer generated reports, etc., including superior follow up skills and attention to detail
Must have the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and remain flexible in adjusting to changing conditions within the clinical/laboratory operations
Preferred
Previous medical or clinical laboratory experience is a plus
Knowledge of EHR or EMR strongly preferred
