Controls Mechanic - Nights - 12 Hour Shifts

Responsibilities
Understanding of industrial 3-phase motor control circuits
Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and correct issues by utilizing knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, mechanical maintenance, motors, control circuits, power supplies, AC&DC theory, and power distribution
Reads and understands electrical schematics and is able to use and understand electrical testing equipment to make timely repairs
Performs necessary repairs or preventative maintenance on all industrial equipment
Understands operational urgency and supports production needs
Communicates with Maintenance Supervision/Management any condition that prevents the manufacture of products to established standards
Ensures safe operational practices for self and other operators
Adheres to all plant GMP and sanitation policies
Promotes SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner
Ability to learn Allen Bradley Logix, Factory Talk and Metrics suites for troubleshooting purposes
Ability to learn Siemens Series 7 language and software suites troubleshooting purposes
Performs any and all duties as directed by Supervision
Qualification
Required
GED or High School Diploma with at least 3+ years experience in manufacturing
Understanding of industrial 3-phase motor control circuits

Prior experience in industrial controls and instrumentation
Intermediate computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)
Excellent troubleshooting knowledge and fully capable of electrical testing tools
Experience within PLC's, analog controls, sensors and VFDs
Experience working with outside vendors and contractors. Able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
Ability to successfully multi - task
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Electrical and electronic experience
Electrical Drives – Resets and replacements
Motor Wiring and testing
Sensor replacement – setting up parameters
Understand of PLC's – Assist with troubleshoot of system while HP Hood employee(s) logged into PLC programs via phone
