Senior Investment Associate
Ames Watson is a privately held, permanent capital holding company focused on creating long-term value through investment in middle market companies. The Senior Investment Associate will be part of the investment team, responsible for sourcing and evaluating new investments, performing financial analysis, and supporting the firm's portfolio companies.
Responsibilities
Support with the sourcing and evaluation of new investment opportunities
Financial analysis and modeling
Research and due diligence for new investment opportunities
Prepare and present investment memos and models to the senior team
Work closely with portfolio company personnel to ensure execution of new and existing initiatives at the portfolio company level
Read and comprehend a wide range of legal documents including acquisition documents, leases, financing documents and partnership agreements
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in finance, private equity, accounting, or consulting
CFA or CPA preferred
A willingness to support all areas of our business, including working directly with portfolio companies
Ability to build and analyze financial statements / models including balance sheet, cash flows and P&L statements
Bachelor's degree
Expert level use of the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to convey messages clearly and concisely
Ability to work autonomously and in teams, and at all levels of the organization (internally and externally)
Ability to work effectively with levels of ambiguity and managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Willingness to travel
