Territory Sales Manager

Hourly is a modern payroll platform designed for businesses with hourly-paid teams. The Territory Sales Manager will build a pipeline, conduct product demos, and close new payroll accounts with small businesses, while partnering with Customer Success to ensure long-term client retention.

Responsibilities

Prospect and build your pipeline: Outbound, events, and referrals, maintain a healthy 3-4x coverage ratio
Create long-term partnerships: Build and maintain your referral network with accountants, insurance brokers, financial advisors, and banks
Own the full sales cycle: From first touch to first payroll run, tell the Hourly story, diagnose payroll gaps, quantify ROI (time saved, error reduction), and tailor proposals
Forecast with rigor: Maintain good CRM hygiene, deal stage accuracy, weekly forecasts, and share win/loss insights
Be the voice of the field: Share market feedback to shape messaging, pricing, and product roadmap

Required

2+ years of field sales experience in payroll, insurance, and/or human resources
Proven track record as a new-logo hunter with strong discovery, demo, and negotiation skills
Comfort selling to small business owners, particularly in construction, restaurant, and service industries
Clear written and verbal communication skills
A self-starter mindset and the ability to plan a territory
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and modern CRM tools
Bachelor's degree
