Responsibilities
Client & Case Management: Intake clients, maintain contact, manage case files (electronic & hardcopy), track treatment, and provide quality client care
Medical Management: Request, review, and summarize medical records/bills; schedule appointments; obtain referrals; manage liens (Medicare/Medicaid)
Legal Document Support: Draft pleadings (complaints, interrogatories, motions), affidavits, settlement demands, discovery responses, and other legal documents under attorney supervision
Litigation Assistance: Prepare for depositions, trials, and mediations; organize exhibits; research legal publications; schedule proceedings; file documents
Investigation: Send spoliation letters, obtain witness statements, photos, and police reports; investigate liability
Negotiation: Assist with settlement discussions, negotiating with providers/adjusters to reduce bills and liens
Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, adjusters, medical providers, and courts
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a PI paralegal or case manager (1+ years)
Strong understanding of PI law, legal procedures, and state-specific rules
Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and common injuries
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with case management software and e-filing
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
