Safe Harbor Marinas, LLC (SHM) is the largest owner and operator of marinas in the world. The Dockhand is responsible for assisting the marina team to serve customers and guests by performing various tasks including the general operation of the docks and maintaining a safe and clean environment throughout the harbor and marina facilities.

Responsibilities

Provide SHM members with the best experience possible
Greet all customers in a manner that expresses a kind, courteous and professional character
Help orient members and guests to the marina, facilities, and answer other commonly asked questions
Assist customers with general boating needs
Maintain and clean restrooms, docks, walkways, grounds and other areas designated by management
Ensure docks and equipment are operational at all times
Comply with OSHA regulations, environmental regulations, and adhere to all site rules and expectations
Availability to work overtime when required
Weekends are a must. Ability to work holidays
Other duties as assigned by Dockmaster or General Manager
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training
Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area
Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately

Required

Ability to work safely around the water
Must be able to swim
Ability to lift 30 pounds

Preferred

Basic boat handling skills
Previous marina experience
Previous customer service experience
Any skills considered standard that a Dockhand should possess
