Manufacturing Education & Workforce Development Program Manager

They are seeking a Manufacturing Education & Workforce Development Program Manager to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense Manufacturing Technology Program office, coordinating activities to develop exceptional manufacturing workforce talent.

Responsibilities
Support the coordination and oversight of OSD ManTech M-EWD activities to effectively implement the M-EWD Program Strategic Plan and mission to inspire, cultivate, and develop exceptional manufacturing workforce talent in support to the Warfighter
Identify opportunities to deepen DoD’s work in M-EWD through external convenings, public-private partnerships, and other communications and outreach activities
Oversee the program management of the DoD M-EWD budget line and associated contracts, including maintaining a thorough program management plan and tracking key deliverables
Review and approve technical reports, papers, and other documentation
Advise DoD leadership on M-EWD operations, strategic policy, long-term planning, and budgetary considerations
When needed, counsel on compliance and regulations related to workforce development processes
Support senior leader engagements around M-EWD. For example, preparing briefing memos, talking points, video scripts, and other deliverables
Find and pursue opportunities (e.g., convenings, events, speeches, and other communications) to highlight models, interventions, and policies in M-EWD learning at the State and local levels that others can learn from and replicate, as appropriate
Spearhead efforts towards implementing innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance output quality
Coordinate workforce development activities across the DoD Manufacturing Innovation Institutes (MIIs) to include: Representing DoD in interagency and joint working group engagements, Representing the OSD ManTech M-EWD program at critical conferences, Sharing OSD ManTech M-EWD program impact externally and with other agencies, and Engaging external experts to surface and identify strong models of excellent manufacturing workforce education from elementary through workforce development
Qualification
Required
US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Bachelor's degree
10+ years of experience in manufacturing education and workforce development. Experience in high school, career technical education, and community college coordination of programming preferred
5+ years of experience in education policy preferred
Demonstrated experience in the following:
Planning and managing programs for or with the Federal government
Maintain close attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced environment
Solving complex problems across the Government, industry, and/or academia
Passionately communicating technical information to non-technical audiences, both verbal and written
Developing and executing policy and process improvement activities
Working independently and productively with minimal oversight
Preferred
Active Secret security clearance or higher
