PTAG is a leading Project Management Advisory & Services firm recognized across North America. They are seeking a Safety Observer - Electric to ensure site safety compliance, monitor construction activities, and support incident reporting in the power industry.

Responsibilities

The Safety Observer ensures site safety compliance by monitoring construction activities, conducting safety briefings, and supporting incident reporting. This role supplements the project team during critical phases requiring dedicated safety oversight

Review contractor Health and Safety Plans (HASP) and support safety inspection processes

Conduct site safety audits and facilitate safety orientations for all personnel and visitors

Ensure compliance with daily safety briefings and escort requirements for site visitors

Track and report safety violations, coordinate corrective actions, and verify closure with contractors

Collaborate with the PM and SHEQ teams to investigate incidents and develop CAR/PARs

Ensure adherence to OSHA and Customer-specific safety protocols

Support emergency response and storm restoration activities as needed
