Software Engineer in Test L3
Virtual Radiologic (vRad) is a national radiology practice and leader in radiologist workflow technology. The Software Engineer in Test Level 3 is responsible for designing, developing, and executing test automation scripts, collaborating with various teams to improve Quality Assurance standards and processes, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities
Work in a team environment supporting a rapidly growing information technology intensive business
Develop software for automation tests, using C#, HTML, JavaScript, Python and SQL, using standard coding practices
Analyze, report and follow-up on test results. Provide concise and accurate test status in a timely manner
Develop, prioritize and execute automated software tests including regression, smoke, feature, load and stress tests, using C#, automated testing tools, and test automation frameworks
Develop, prioritize and execute manual and automated regression test cases/scripts on releases
Provide support in debugging & reproducing problems reported in production environment
Collaborate as part of the scrum team in grooming and estimating User Stories
Identify, record, and document software bugs in JIRA to notify software team of issues that need to be addressed
Develop custom testing tools to add to vRad’s testing framework
Coordinate with Product Managers and Software Engineers to develop test plans and test cases/scripts for new feature sets in existing applications and for new applications as well
Contribute to the development of regression test suites for VRC product lines
Provide technical/testing direction and guidance to the automation team and formulate a reliable approach for continued tool usage
Participates and provides input to planning, building, and maintaining the Automation framework and associated processes
Mentor junior SEIT’s to aid in their development
Ability to participate in on-call rotation as needed to support radiologists and other systems support issues
Other activities as directed by management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science or 6+ years of experience in a related field
5+ years of experience focused on Quality Assurance and Automation Testing
Experience in an Object-Oriented Development language such as C# or Java
Experience with ASP.Net, C#, .NET, PowerShell and SQL Server
Experience with User Interface automation tools such as Ranorex
Experience with automated test frameworks such as nUnit, FIT, etc
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Experience including testing Standalone and Web applications in Windows environment
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems with technically innovative solutions
Demonstrated experience in planning and executing complex automation testing projects
Working knowledge of Software Quality Assurance Methodologies
Possess excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and able to work on independently defined tasks
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Preferred
Experience working in Agile Development Methodologies preferred
