SEO / GEO Manager
HawkSEM is a results-driven digital marketing agency and a Google Premier Partner. They are seeking an AI-forward SEO Account Manager to lead SEO strategies that drive ROI and adapt to emerging search technologies, working collaboratively across teams to optimize client accounts.
Responsibilities
Lead SEO strategy that drives ROI across both traditional and AI-powered search for clients (Google, Gemini, ChatGPT, etc.)
Stay proactive on algorithm updates, AI trends, and emerging search technologies
Conduct keyword + prompt research to align content with real search intent in both SERPs and generative engines
Develop content calendars using topic modeling, entity mapping, and trend forecasting
Optimize content and metadata for visibility in organic search and AI experiences
Audit technical SEO/ GEO fundamentals along with schema to enhance crawlability, speed, and structured data performance
Drive conversion rate optimization using behavioral analytics
Leverage integrated tools (GA4, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GEO tracking platforms) for performance insights
Report clearly on SEO + GEO visibility, connecting initiatives to tangible ROI
Collaborate cross-functionally with Paid Search, Social, and CRO teams for unified, data-driven results
Perform in a hybrid role as both an SEO / GEO strategist and point of contact for assigned clients
Own the overall SEO / GEO strategy and efficient day-to-day management of assigned SEO / GEO accounts, focusing on client gross profit growth
Monitor and analyze brand presence in generative results, using GEO tracking tools to identify brand mentions, competitor share of voice, emerging content opportunities, and outreach
Develop prompt-based optimization strategies that align brand content with the way users query AI engines
Partner with Analytics and Web Development teams to ensure technical / AI readiness—covering site health, tracking, analytics integration, and landing page optimization
Report on key performance indicators and present them effectively to clients and senior management
Work closely with Lead Strategists to refine account roadmaps and maintain alignment with long-term objectives
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience executing successful SEO strategies with a focus on content strategy and on-page optimizations
A true practitioner and pioneer —curious, adaptable, and unafraid to test, learn, and lead in the emerging Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) space
Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and how to optimize for AI-powered search engines in a variety of industries and verticals
Proven experience using tools like GA4, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Moz, SpyFu, and Screaming Frog
Proven experience using CMS like WordPress and WebFlow (bonus points for experience with product feed optimization and eCommerce CMS like Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, etc.)
Self-motivation, autonomy and a strong sense of accountability to bring success to your clients in a remote environment
Capacity to handle multiple ongoing projects and deadlines in a fast-paced team environment
