The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of the production process, ensuring efficient operations, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities
Directly manage, coach, and support foremen in their daily responsibilities, providing clear direction and fostering a positive, productive work environment for all production staff
Coordinate production schedules and workflows to meet project deadlines and ensure optimal resource allocation
Identify and implement strategies to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance
Establish quality control measures and ensure that all products meet industry standards and customer specifications
Monitor production costs and develop budgets, ensuring that operations remain within financial parameters
Enforce company safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees
Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Sales teams to align production capabilities with project requirements and customer expectations
Prepare and present production performance reports to upper management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement
Partner with HR and management in staffing decisions, including hiring, performance evaluations, training, and corrective actions for production staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred
5+ years in production management, with experience supervising foremen and production teams in a shipyard or manufacturing environment
Experience in new vessel construction is required
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
Familiarity with marine repair and manufacturing processes and quality standards
Proficient in production management software and tools
Proficient in MicroSoft Suite software
Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments
