Hubbard Construction Company is seeking an Associate Division Controller to manage all financial aspects of their Orlando Paving and Hot mix business units. The role involves preparing financial statements, overseeing day-to-day operations of the division's finances, and supervising a team of accountants.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly financial statements and communicate results to executives
Analyze financial reports and develop new financial strategies to achieve company goals
Oversee day-to-day operations of the division's finances
Supervise a team of 3 accountants
Manage the completion of the month/quarter/year-end close for the division
Prepare budgets and forecasts for the division and present them to the executive team
Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers on project budgeting and cost control
Travel to jobsites as needed
Prepare monthly journal entries
Support Corporate with internal and external financial audits
Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data
Assumes other special activities and responsibilities as required

Required

5-10 years of experience in financial or accounting roles, preferably within the construction industry
Management experience
Proficiency with MS Office Suites
Analytical skills with attention to detail in project financials
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial data with integrity
Clear and concise communication skills to interact with project managers, estimators, and executive leadership
Organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize under pressure
Ability to summarize and analyze multi-faceted financial data

Preferred

Understanding of construction job costing, billing cycles, retainage, and WIP accounting
SAP experience
