Responsibilities
Lead technical architecture and system design for LLM-driven platforms, ensuring alignment with TRL 6 delivery objectives and quarterly milestone schedules
Design and implement agentic LLM architectures leveraging GPT-4, Claude, and Azure OpenAI Service with structured output schemas (JSON/GeoJSON), chain-of-debate methodologies, and Monte Carlo simulation capabilities to generate reliable, standardized outputs
Develop technical specifications for platform interoperability with existing DoW systems including Maven, C2IE, etc., ensuring seamless bi-directional data exchange and export capabilities
Oversee multi-cloud infrastructure architecture on AWS and Microsoft Azure, ensuring FedRAMP IL2-4 compliance, role-based access controls (RBAC), MOT classification handling, and secure API implementations that do not require external LLM searches
Provide technical leadership to development teams, conduct architecture reviews, develop OV-1 and Functional Block Diagram documentation, and ensure adherence to DevSecOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle
Collaborate with COCOM stakeholders and customer champions across five commands to translate operational requirements into technical specifications, support tabletop exercise (TTX) demonstrations, and validate platform capabilities
Drive quarterly milestone delivery aligned with MVP development approach, managing technical risk, coordinating with Business Development champions, and ensuring on-time delivery of IRAD objectives with measurable ROI and man-hours saved metrics
Oversee development of virtual and on-site training programs, user guides, and documentation to support platform adoption across multiple Combatant Commands
Identify and document potential intellectual property (IP), patents, and trade secrets arising from novel LLM prompting techniques, influence mapping algorithms, and visualization methods for abstract concepts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related technical field and 12 years of equivalent professional experience
10+ years of experience in software architecture and systems engineering, with at least 5 years in a technical lead or architect role on complex, multi-system integration projects
Demonstrated expertise in Large Language Model (LLM) architecture, including hands-on experience with GPT-4, Claude, or equivalent foundation models, prompt engineering, structured output generation, and agentic AI workflows
Proficiency in cloud architecture and deployment on AWS and Microsoft Azure, including experience with Azure OpenAI Service, FedRAMP-compliant environments, and IL2-4 security requirements
Strong experience with data integration and ETL/ELT pipeline development, including API integration (REST, ServiceNow), multi-source data orchestration, and data lake architectures
Proficiency in Python and modern web technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Vue.js) with experience in advanced visualization libraries (Plotly, D3.js) and interactive dashboard development
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipeline implementation in DevSecOps environments
Understanding of geospatial data formats (GeoJSON, KML/KMZ), OGC standards (WMS, WFS), and GIS platforms (ArcGIS) for operational visualization applications
Experience developing formal architecture documentation including OV-1 diagrams, functional block diagrams, and API specifications
U.S. citizenship required
Active Secret clearance required with eligibility for TS/SCI
Valid U.S. passport required for potential OCONUS travel to customer sites
