Responsibilities

Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
Manage all project documentation including contracts, budgets, and schedules
Manage accounts receivable, handling retainage and issuing lien waivers as needed
Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and subcontractor/vendor invoices for payment
Assist with accounts payable processing, including reviewing and approving invoices for payment
Maintain detailed financial reports and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
Collaborate with project team to review job cost reports, investigate variances, and provide financial insights
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations (including certified payroll if required)
Perform other accounting duties such as general ledger maintenance and ad-hoc analyses
Track project timelines and costs
Assist management in the implementation of and monitoring the adherence to project governance practices and policies
Prepare various RFPs needed for vendor and contractor services for the complete project
Follow procedures for distribution, receipt, opening, leveling and award of project bids
Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance or related field, equivalent experience considered
Minimum 5 years project accounting, with a minimum of 3 years in the construction industry
Must have experience job costing, project billing, and expense coding in construction
Computer proficient, including knowledge QuickBooks, Sage, Viewpoint or similar construction specific tools
Familiar with AIA billing processes, percentage of completion accounting, and construction specific cost codes (CSI Master Format)
Advanced demonstrated knowledge of financial terms and practices
Highly organized. Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently
Strong analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to successfully communicate with architects, contractors, client's representatives, and team members
