Senior Key Account Manager
Ascendo Resources is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and they are seeking a senior-level sales professional with deep transportation and logistics experience to manage and grow a high-value portfolio of strategic accounts. This role involves direct ownership of a $50M–$100M book of business and focuses on long-term account expansion, executive-level relationship management, and new customer acquisition within complex supply chain environments.
Responsibilities
Own and grow a $50M–$100M logistics portfolio across strategic enterprise accounts
Expand existing customer relationships by introducing additional transportation and supply chain solutions
Develop new high-value business from warm and strategic leads
Engage senior decision-makers and lead negotiations, proposals, and contract discussions
Partner cross-functionally with pricing, operations, and leadership to deliver profitable solutions
Build and execute account growth plans, forecasts, and revenue strategies
Represent the organization at customer meetings and industry events
Travel approximately 2–3 times per month
Qualification
Required
Proven experience managing large-scale logistics or transportation accounts
Strong background in supply chain, freight, or transportation solutions
Demonstrated success carrying and growing a $50M–$100M revenue book
Ability to build executive-level relationships and close complex deals
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strategic, consultative sales approach with strong financial acumen
Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office
Willingness to travel up to 50%
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Supply Chain, or a related field
10+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain
5+ years in a senior account management or key account role
Operational logistics experience is a strong plus
