Responsibilities
Quoting, project‑managing and underwriting tax liability insurance policies
Structuring and negotiating bespoke policies with brokers and lawyers in the US and internationally
Building strong relationships to win new business from key market stakeholders
Assessing and pricing risks—including tax law applicability, technical positions, and likelihood of successful defence if challenged
Ensuring full compliance with underwriting guidelines, binding authorities and internal control standards
Responding proactively and professionally to tax liability enquiries
Developing strong relationships with brokers, clients, lawyers and other stakeholders
Identifying cross‑sell opportunities across CFC’s wider product suite
Leveraging networking opportunities to support continued business growth
Qualification
Required
Qualified lawyer, accountant, or M&A professional with demonstrable experience in Tax
Experience in underwriting tax liability insurance policies
Ability to structure and negotiate bespoke policies with brokers and lawyers
Strong relationship-building skills to win new business from key market stakeholders
Experience in assessing and pricing risks including tax law applicability and technical positions
Ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines, binding authorities, and internal control standards
Proactive and professional response to tax liability enquiries
Ability to identify cross-sell opportunities across product suite
Comfortable developing relationships quickly and credibly with senior stakeholders
Ability to balance technical expertise with sound commercial judgement
Proactive problem-solver in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment

Commercially minded with confidence to negotiate bespoke, high-value deals
