Assistant Manager, Revenue Cycle Services

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking a Revenue Cycle Services Assistant Manager for General Practice Residency and Advanced Graduate Prosthodontics Clinics. This role involves managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring revenue cycle performance while providing exceptional service to patients and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the daily operations, staff supervision, and revenue cycle performance of the General Practice Residency (GPR) and Advanced Graduate Prosthodontics (Grad Pros) clinics
Ensure accurate scheduling, patient flow, documentation, fiscal integrity, and exceptional service to patients, residents, faculty, and staff
Partner closely with the Director and Manager of Revenue Cycle Services, Program Directors, and clinic staff to develop protocols, monitor operations, create outcomes reports, and maintain compliance with college policies
Harmonize operations while honoring each program’s requirements
Educate and train staff as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3 years' experience in dental care setting and an educational setting
Demonstrated understanding of management principles and staff supervision
Experience with healthcare scheduling, patient flow, and documentation
Strong communication skills; ability to coordinate across diverse stakeholders (patients, residents, faculty, staff)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and report generation from databases/EHRs

Preferred

Considerable experience in database development and maintenance
Data collection methodology, analysis, and reporting
Formal training background (staff education/training program development)
Familiarity with payer policies, coding standards, and denial management workflows
Experience with Workday (HRIS) and dashboard/reporting tools
