Estate Planning Legal Assistant
Permanent Placements LLC is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive support to multiple attorneys and paralegals. The role involves managing a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment, including preparing legal documents and filing probate court documents.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegals
Edit, create, and proofread legal documents
Prepare and file probate court documents and forms
Manage deeds, wills, and estate tax return filings
Utilize document management and case management systems
Handle time entry and transcription tasks as needed
Communicate effectively with clients via phone and in person
Organize and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Previous law firm experience required; Am Law 200, leading regional, or major boutique firm experience preferred
5–15 years of experience as a legal assistant or secretary
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Experience in trusts and estates, probate litigation, corporate, and tax law
Familiarity with Juris time entry, Ipro Discovery Local, and Work 10 (iManage)
Knowledge of transcription applications and document management systems
Interest in technology and ability to learn new tools quickly
