They are seeking a Facility Support Services Manager to oversee all facility support service activities, ensure compliance with safety and security policies, and manage operations and maintenance personnel.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the management, development, direction, and implementation of Assets/Facility Support Services Mechanical Maintenance, Mobile Equipment Maintenance, Facility Maintenance – Electrical, Mechanical, and Grounds Maintenance, Information Technology Computing Infrastructure Functions, and Work Control Functions
Supervises facility support activities of assigned personnel, including staffing and performance management
Supports Facility Custodial and Logistics Management & Distribution personnel management as directed
Schedules work to be performed and monitors progress
Manages and maintains the computerized maintenance management system
Ensures timely and cost-effective completion of facility services, including preventative and corrective maintenance, to provide superior performance of contract requirements
Assists in the preparation of procedure manuals and instructions that govern facility support services and monitors adherence to those procedures
Responsible for the implementation of safety and security policies, procedures and instruction for operation activities; and ensures compliance with all state and federal codes, requirements, and standards
Responsible for monitoring cost, both labor and materials, ensuring only legitimate/required expenses are approved
Prepares progress and expenditure forecasts and other operation reports as required
Supports Facilities Information Management System as required including providing Annual Actual Maintenance Costs, and supports tracking/accounting of Property
Coordinates facility support activities and provides input to personnel when requested by the responsible manager
Implements approved training programs for designated personnel
Monitors labor relations within the assigned area and ensures compliance with union contract
Ensures safety and health of employees during work tasks, utilizing good work practices and following procedures and protocols
Responsible and accountable for Safety & Health performance and the communication of safety awareness
Maintains a safe working environment. Demonstrates awareness and implementation of applicable environmental, safety, and health (ES&H) requirements while also alerting co-workers of such requirements as needed
Demonstrates the ability to get along with coworkers, customers and visitors
Demonstrates a personal commitment to safety and quality
Performs other duties as assigned
Keeps work areas in order and free of hazards
Performs work within the controls identified and stops work when an unsafe work condition exists
Participates in safety programs and initiatives
Reports all injuries
Participates in work planning so that hazards are identified and appropriate corrective actions are taken
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or industrial technology plus at least two years of related work experience OR specialized courses in maintenance and operational technology and management plus at least five years of related work experience, OR a high school diploma or equivalent plus at least 10 years of directly relevant work experience
Requires supervisory experience, including staffing and performance management
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instruction manuals, procedure manuals and blueprints
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to effectively communicate expectations to direct reports and provide both positive and negative feedback associated with those expectations
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
Ability to effectively communicate with other site contractors to plan and accomplish work requiring resources from other site contractors
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables
Ability to effectively plan and schedule labor resources
Ability to identify necessary material stock
Ability to operate a calculator, office copier, fax and computer are required
Ability to calculate figures and amounts with reasonable speed and accuracy
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “L” clearance
