Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new and existing clients in person, online, by phone, and through written communication
Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow-ups, accurate and timely quotations, and general account support
Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on all client needs
Actively prospect round accounts, pursue coverage increases for existing clients, and network to generate new business, including win-backs
Obtain the best coverage and rates for insureds; process quotes and bind coverage; follow up on inspections, photos, and required documentation as needed
Present policies to clients and educate them on coverages and pricing
Support renewal and retention efforts while maintaining long-term client relationships
Monitor, review, and report on key performance metrics to ensure sales goals are achieved, and maintain accurate sales documentation
Collaborate with team members, mentor staff when appropriate, provide expertise, and participate in meetings as needed
Maintain required continuing education and stay informed on industry trends, products, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously enhance performance
Qualification
Required
Active insurance license as required by the State of Indiana
Minimum of 6 months of personal lines insurance account management experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations
Proven sales success with strong presentation, persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills
Customer-focused, relationship-driven, and professionally assertive
Excellent organizational, time management, and decision-making skills with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
Technology and computer proficiency, including agency management systems
