The Engineer, Production Systems will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and debugging various Broadcast Production systems, supporting maintenance and technical project execution.

Responsibilities

Understand and support in-house video, audio and control systems

Strong understanding of technical schematic documentation and ability to follow signal paths for system verification

Support maintenance department for problem solving and repair of above-mentioned systems

Maintain network and system documentation

Work autonomously or as part of a team to support technical project execution alongside other specialists and wiring technicians as required

Required

Proven familiarity of broadcast systems: compressed and uncompressed video & audio formats, with awareness of SMPTE 2110 IP based systems

Knowledge of production control systems commonly used in complex production control rooms for live and non-live applications

Basic understanding of networking, subnetting, and VLAN implementation

Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Vizio

Technical knowledge of current broadcast systems software, protocols, and standards

Understanding of network administration

Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience

Preferred

College diploma or university degree in the field of Electrical or Broadcast engineering or 3+ years equivalent work experience

Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment

Skilled at working within a team-oriented, harmonious environment

Ability to conduct research into hardware and software issues and products as required

Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
