Responsibilities

Develop an automated assembly process to enhance existing laboratory assembly procedures

Improve the assembly process by optimizing cycle time and yield rate

Create and update technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), test plans, and design specifications for automation solutions

Perform process analysis (i.e. cycle time, FPY) in order to identify bottlenecks

Perform root cause analysis and develop countermeasures

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, graduating between December 2026 and August 2027

Proficient in SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software

Project experience with at least one relevant programming/scripting language (Python, C++)

Proficiency in practical laboratory procedures, including hardware testing and comprehensive failure analysis

Strong problem solving skills

Ability to work in a collaborative team with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred

Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Experience in developing process flow diagrams, SOPs, and DOEs

Passion for aviation, drones, or related technologies

Knowledge in GD&T and datum precedence rule

Familiarity with statistics and Cpk analysis
