CTL Engineering is an award-winning consulting engineering firm seeking a Civil/Site Design Project Engineer who will be involved in the design, planning, and implementation of site civil design projects. The role includes collaborating with clients and agencies, developing engineering plans, and ensuring optimal project performance throughout all stages of design.

Responsibilities

Participate in all aspects of Civil/Site Development Design projects:
Work with the Project Managers to develop data, complete technical analysis, and prepare permitting and construction drawings, specifications, and quality control plans
Develop Concept, Layout, Preliminary and Final Engineering Plans
Develop erosion and sediment control plans
Design utility and utility relocation plans
Assist with creating permit applications
Complete site layout, utility and grading plans, storm water analyses and reports, and site development permits
Perform civil engineering analyses and numerical analysis using various computer software programs
Determine hydrology, develop hydraulic/drainage and stormwater calculations, SWPPPs and obtain NDPES permits
Participate in hands-on field observation & inspection of construction activities
Communicate with clients on deliverables
Assist with developing project proposals and Engineer’s construction cost estimates
Assist with developing/managing schedules, budgets, and quality of work
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record
Knowledge of Civil Engineering principles and reporting
Proficient in using Auto CAD Civil 3D in various Civil/Site Design projects
Must have good customer service skills, a high level of professionalism, and comfortable with client interaction
Must have ability to manage multiple projects and remain quality-focused
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to be a team player
Ability to be reliable and on time
Be quality-minded and client-focused

Preferred

Internship/coursework experience in Civil/Site Design is a strong plus
EIT/EI is preferred
