Finance Supervisor, WFD
Eckerd Connects is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to serving children, youth, and families. The Finance Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing the workforce development financial analyst team, ensuring accurate financial support, and fostering a collaborative work environment to meet departmental goals.

Responsibilities
Directly supervise, guide, and support the Workforce Development Financial Analyst team in their day-to-day activities
Assign priorities, monitor workloads, and conduct regular performance evaluations
Foster a collaborative and results-driven environment focused on accuracy and efficiency
Ensure timely and accurate revenue reporting aligned with organizational standards and deadlines
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end billing process, including contract-specific requirements
Perform billing functions when necessary to support the team and ensure compliance
Conduct regular reviews and audits of billing team to ensure maximum financial efficiency
Ensure that billings are complete and reconcile to financial statements
Assist finance team members with preparing annual operating budgets and modifications for the division
Review and analyze various internal and external reports that may include, but not limited to, census, compliance, staffing, revenue or expenditure, and financial statements
Conduct monthly financial statement review meetings in coordination with financial analysts
Provide support as needed when developing new proposals and new business operating budgets, specifically, customer forms and budget narratives summarizing proposed services
Reconcile and close out grants/contracts at termination as well as year-end
Ensure adherence to Eckerd’s Policy and Procedure Manual Report any acts, incidents, or conditions that reflect the possibility of inappropriate participant-to-participant or staff-to-participant/family relationships, and/or liable situations as per Eckerd policy and state guidelines
Report any use of physical force and all unusual incidents per Eckerd policy and state guidelines
Participate in training and development activities as required
Perform other job-related duties as assigned or as judgment and/or necessity dictates
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required, from an accredited College or University, in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Five to eight years related experience at a company providing similar products and/or services
Experience must include direct supervision and management of a team of 5+ individuals
Proven success in systematic auditing and review of processes and procedures
Direct supervision of diverse team that is not co-located in one area
Financial management skills, including monitoring budgets and financial reporting
Understand non-profit balance sheets, income statements, and accounts receivable
Grant/contract time reporting and payroll
Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and program performance analysis
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
Ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision
Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, decision-making, and flexibility
Ability to handle multiple projects and work well under pressure
Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office software
Experience working with cost reimbursement contracts
Maintain knowledge of current federal issues relating to Grants & Single Audits of state, local, government and non-profit organization
Interprets OMB (Office of Management and Budget) circulars for grants and contracts
Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, and deal with complex problems
Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of participants, staff, and community
Capable of functioning in a stressful environment
Must successfully pass a background screening process, including, but not limited to, state, local, and funder criminal background check requirements
Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy
Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes
Must maintain a valid state driver's license
