Hardware Reliability Engineering Intern, Summer 2026

They are seeking a Hardware Reliability Engineer Intern to evaluate the reliability and durability of their hardware, develop new tests, and perform failure analysis to improve the robustness of their drone and ground infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Evaluate the durability of a hardware component, including developing tests, collecting and analyzing data, assessing failure modes, and recommending potential design improvements
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, graduating between December 2026 and August 2027
Comfortable with hands-on work in a lab, such as hardware testing and failure inspection
Able to construct and follow a detailed hardware test plan
Familiarity with tools to acquire, log, and analyze data (e.g. temperature, force, current, voltage)
Ability to work independently to investigate issues and communicate findings to cross-functional teams
Completed an introductory statistics course or equivalent
Experience debugging, troubleshooting, or investigating hardware failures
Strong attention to detail
