The Food Safety/Quality Assurance Intern will gain real-world experience in overseeing a food manufacturing facility's Food Safety/Quality Management System and will work alongside seasoned professionals to contribute to food safety and food defense plans.

Responsibilities
Support management in the implementation of the site's Food Safety and Food Defense Plans
Participate in 3rd party and customer audits, gaining exposure to the audit process
Perform food safety and quality inspections on-site
Develop training tools to assist operations personnel in understanding and implementing food safety principles
Qualification
Required
Must be a student at an accredited university pursuing a degree in Food Science (preferred) or a physical science
Ability to work effectively in an industrial environment
Safety-minded and willing to learn
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
