This role is crucial for ensuring financial management, operational excellence, and strategic alignment across the organization while supporting investment operations and fundraising activities.

Responsibilities

Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the fund, management company, and venture studio

Oversee fund accounting, capital calls, distributions, subscription agreement workflows, and waterfall modeling

Manage portfolio valuations and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, fund administrators, and legal counsel

Oversee cash management, capital availability, and overall financial health

Build financial models to support investment decisions, portfolio performance, and long-term planning

Lead annual audits, tax filings, and financial statement preparation

Maintain internal governance policies, internal controls, compliance procedures (non-SEC), and risk management practices

Maintain organized deal documentation, data rooms, and operational workflows supporting the investment lifecycle

Ensure accurate and timely internal and external reporting

Coordinate with counsel for contract review, deal documentation, entity administration, and legal obligations

Review and manage vendor agreements, employment documentation, portfolio-company agreements, and governance materials

Maintain systems for document retention, tracking, and visibility across legal and operational matters

Ensure compliance with internal governance standards and contractual obligations

Build and oversee performance reporting frameworks for portfolio companies

Collect and analyze KPIs and financial metrics, producing regular dashboards

Work with founders on reporting timelines, budget reviews, and financial discipline

Identify risks, opportunities, and trends across the portfolio

Support companies in financial modeling and operational best practices

Oversee HR, payroll, benefits, recruiting coordination, and vendor management

Implement scalable systems across finance, HR, operations, and data management

Manage technology and productivity platforms

Drive process improvements and operational infrastructure

Produce quarterly LP reports, financial statements, and portfolio summaries

Support fundraising with financial materials, diligence responses, and investor onboarding

Maintain LP communication cadence with clarity and transparency

Assist with annual meetings and investor events

Advise Managing Partners on financial planning, investment operations, and organizational growth

Lead cross-functional projects across finance, operations, legal, HR, and portfolio support

Build and mentor a high-performing finance and operations team
