Supply Chain Program Manager
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager to lead and manage Virginia’s Supply Chain Optimization Program (SCOP), supporting Virginia businesses in optimizing their supply chain management processes. The role involves collaborating with businesses, providing expert guidance, and managing program logistics to enhance supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with colleagues and partner organizations to recruit and enroll Virginia companies in the program. Review and approve program applications from businesses to confirm they meet program requirements
Build and maintain effective relationships with participating companies. Meet with businesses to develop and execute supply chain optimization plans, track progress, and conduct exit interviews for program assessment
Provide expert guidance and counseling on supply chain optimization for participating companies, ensuring full engagement with program initiatives
Organize and implement quarterly training events (in-person and virtual) and program-wide communications. Coordinate with partners to deliver educational opportunities on supply chain topics
Cultivate and maintain partnerships with organizations involved in supply chain-related services and training
Manage the program budget, report on program metrics, and maintain records of participants
Review reimbursement requests from program participants and make approval decisions about reimbursement payments according to VEDP guidelines
Lead and supervise a Program Specialist who supports the program
Lead up to two international trade mission and trade show delegations each year by coordinating logistics, collaborating with colleagues, and ensuring successful participation by businesses
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and organize a schedule to meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to engage in positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and partner organizations
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including being comfortable meeting with and providing advice to business executives and presenting at events
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated proficiency with Zoom, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce is a plus
Enjoys providing excellent service to internal and external customers and meeting deadlines
Combination of training, education, or experience in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field
Project management experience with expertise in global supply chain practices, logistics, and international business practices
Knowledge of federal regulations governing international trade, as well as foreign customs and cultures
Professional experience with event planning, marketing, communications, or business administration
A valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport are required
Being authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment
