Senior Logistics & Distribution Analyst

The Senior Logistics and Distribution Analyst will support the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution headquarters by coordinating analytical, planning, and operational support activities related to DoD distribution and supply chain operations.

Responsibilities
Support DLA Distribution headquarters initiatives by organizing, coordinating, and managing logistics and distribution related tasks, staff actions, and deliverables across multiple functional areas
Support planning, execution tracking, and reporting for DoD distribution operations, supply chain activities, and enterprise logistics initiatives
Apply agile and structured project management techniques to manage scope, priorities, timelines, dependencies, and delivery across multiple concurrent logistics initiatives
Work directly with DLA Distribution leadership and staff to capture logistics requirements, clarify operational priorities, and translate direction into executable work products
Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned distribution and supply chain efforts, supporting execution, coordination, and delivery of high visibility workstreams
Track actions, milestones, risks, and issues related to distribution operations, modernization efforts, and logistics priorities to ensure leadership objectives are progressing as planned
Translate logistics, distribution, and supply chain requirements into actionable analysis, recommendations, and decision support materials
Develop and deliver executive level briefings, presentations, and written updates related to logistics performance, distribution initiatives, and recommended actions for senior leaders
Coordinate and consolidate inputs from stakeholders across distribution centers, headquarters staff, and supporting organizations to ensure deliverables are accurate and aligned with DLA Distribution objectives
Support organizational change and modernization efforts affecting distribution operations, warehousing systems, and logistics processes through planning support, implementation tracking, and communication
Navigate organizational dynamics and stakeholder relationships to maintain alignment across logistics and distribution activities
Mentor junior analysts by reviewing work products, providing feedback, and reinforcing standards for quality, professionalism, responsiveness, and mission support
Qualification
Required
Bachelor degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field from an accredited institution
8 years minimum of professional experience supporting DoD logistics, supply chain, or distribution organizations in an analytical, operational, or program support capacity
5 years minimum of experience supporting distribution operations, logistics planning, or supply chain execution within a DoD environment
5 years minimum of experience supporting logistics modernization, distribution process improvement, or enterprise supply chain initiatives
3 years minimum of experience with distribution center operations, warehousing systems, transportation networks, or supply chain optimization efforts
3+ years of experience applying structured project management practices in government or regulated environments
5+ years of experience working directly with senior government stakeholders, including briefing leadership and supporting decision making
5 years minimum of experience managing multiple logistics related taskers, deliverables, or workstreams in a fast paced, high visibility environment
5 years minimum of DoD logistics processes, governance structures, and distribution operations
Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one

Preferred
Master's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, public administration, or a related field
Experience supporting federal contractor or consulting efforts within the Department of Defense
Demonstrated experience supporting DLA Distribution or similar DoD logistics organizations
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing executive level logistics briefings and formal written products
