Responsibilities
Execute Engineering Studies, EWO's, Validations, and Change control while following GMP (good manufacturing practices). Provide technical expertise on molding process and equipment issues to the department
Creates technical knowledge for the manufacturing unit and transfers the knowledge to the operator and technical associates
Coaches associates on continuous improvement methodologies within the manufacturing unit
Understands top losses within the manufacturing unit and develops and implements plans to eliminate losses and drive OEE performance
Responsible for manufacturing unit change control including validation activities, root cause analysis of prioritized OEE losses, and quality events and deviations
Other duties as required to support the needs of the business
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required in Engineering
Molding process and validation - Proficient
Effective Oral/written Communication - Proficient
Ability to work as part of a team / Teambuilding - Proficient
Independent thinking / Self Driven - Proficient
Decision Making Ability - Proficient
Troubleshooting / Problem Solving - Advanced
Safety & Ergonomics Expertise – Proficient
Project Management - Basic
Quality Systems Knowledge – Proficient

Financial Acumen – Basic
Ability to read and write and converse in English
Willing and able to uphold BD Values
Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function
Preferred
Plastic Engineering Degree
Two years medical manufacturing experience
Previous technical molding experience (Understanding of the molding process & all related equipment, operation of molding peripheral automation equipment, fundamental principles of scientific molding, mold design and metrology)
