The Connecticut Department of Administrative Services is seeking a Director of Scheduling and Special Projects to manage the Lieutenant Governor's schedule and support key initiatives. This role involves event planning, administrative tasks, and drafting official memos.

Responsibilities

Oversee the Lieutenant Governor's daily calendar, including evaluating and recommending event participation
Organize, execute, and staff public events, such as veteran recognition ceremonies hosted by the Lieutenant Governor
Facilitate weekly scheduling meeting with the staff and co-manage the office internship program
Manage the Lieutenant Governor's Office and assist with constituent requests
Compose memoranda for events attended by the Lieutenant Governor

Required

Highly organized professional with exceptional communication skills
Proactive approach to managing complex schedules and public-facing responsibilities

Preferred

Bachelor's degree or higher
Experience with government operations and protocol
Experience in executive scheduling and calendar management, including coordinating schedules for public officials or executives
Experience planning and executing public-facing events with attention to detail, professionalism, and logistical precision
Experience utilizing written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear, concise memos and correspondence on behalf of executive leadership
Experience utilizing organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and maintain discretion in a fast-paced, high-profile environment
Experience representing executive leadership at public events, with a professional demeanor and the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders and constituents
