Responsibilities

Design and develop backend systems supporting ad delivery for ByteDance's global products

Implement and optimize high-concurrency, high-availability services for real-time advertising scenarios

Continuously improve existing services and proactively identify system bottlenecks and vulnerabilities

Tackle complex technical challenges with high-quality coding and scalable architecture design

Define and help maintain development best practices and coding standards

Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to turn requirements into reliable, high-performing solutions

Qualification

Required

Strong programming skills and solid understanding of software design principles

Proficient in at least one backend language (e.g., Go, Java, Python, C++)

Familiarity with core infrastructure components such as MySQL, Redis, Message Queues, Nginx, etc

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and complex systems

Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a global team setting

Preferred

In-depth experience with Go (Golang) and building large-scale distributed systems

Hands-on experience in designing and maintaining systems handling high traffic and concurrency

Deep understanding of backend system optimization, fault tolerance, and performance tuning

Prior involvement in 0-to-1 system or feature development

Demonstrated curiosity for emerging technologies and a willingness to share knowledge
