Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market. The Simulation Scenario Generation team is looking for a full-stack engineer to create tools for testing and ensuring the safety of autonomous vehicles, focusing on developing simulation scenario tools and extending both front-end and back-end systems.

Responsibilities

Develop autonomous driving simulation scenario tools to author, inspect, and evaluate the performance of autonomous driving software
Extend a web-based front-end for 3D graphical definition of detailed autonomous driving simulation scenarios
Extend a web back-end to interact with simulation, autonomous driving, and agentic AI software
Work closely with internal customers and other stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions

Qualification

Required

3+ years of industry experience in C++ and Python development
2+ years of industry experience, with proficiency in Web APIs and TypeScript
Experience building sophisticated single-page web applications with modern web development frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue
Experience developing scalable web back-end services
A BS in Computer Science or related field

Preferred

Experience with 3D libraries/engines (e.g., Three.js, OpenGL, Unity, etc.)
Experience with simulation, robotics, or autonomous vehicles
