Responsibilities
Process member payments
Investigate and resolve member queries
Daily cash reconciliation
Prepare bank deposits
Communicate with members via phone, email and in person
Special billings as assigned
Key accounts payable invoices, matching to purchasing module as needed
Use tax accruals
Prepare and process vendor payments
Reconcile monthly vendor statements
Vendor maintenance and 1099 Preparation
Sorting & distribution of mail
Chit detail filing
Assist HR with clerical duties as needed
Assist in month end close
Prepare commission calculations for payroll
Northstar software support, troubleshooting & POS key maintenance
Some journal entry preparation
Some account reconciliations
Special projects & report writing as assigned
Qualification
Required
2 - 3 years' experience in A/P, A/R and general accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods—often over 50% of the time
Occasionally needs to move about the office or club premises to access files, meet with staff, or attend meetings
Frequently operates a computer, calculator, phone and other office equipment such as printers and copiers
Must be able to read reports, spreadsheets, and computer screens with accuracy
Frequently communicates with staff, vendors, and management; must be able to exchange accurate information in these interactions
Must be able to maintain confidentiality
Good organizational and problem-solving skills. Must be able to multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy
Neat appearance. Must be willing to be clean shaven, have good personal hygiene, and look professional
Excellent communication skills and a friendly personality. Must be comfortable approaching, greeting, and conversing with our Membership in a warm, polished, and professional manner
Preferred
Minimum of an Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
