Lead QAD Programmer Analyst (49061)

The Lead QAD Programmer Analyst will oversee all aspects of development for Welbilt’s QAD ERP business applications globally, leading internal developers and managing third-party consultants to ensure alignment with business processes and objectives.

Responsibilities

Translate functional design documents into technical specifications
Design, develop, and maintain QAD customizations, including browses, maintenance programs, reports, menus, and triggers
Build and enhance AUX screens, forms, grids, and process flows based on business requirements
Develop and support QAD AE/EE layer customizations, including business logic and UI elements
Optimize and troubleshoot QAD performance issues across AUX, AE, and database layers
Manage external developers and ensure adherence to project timelines and standards

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or 6+ years equivalent experience)
8-10 years of experience developing for QAD ERP on a global scale
Minimum 3 years in a lead QAD role
Strong proficiency in Progress 4GL/ABL development
Experience with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Ability to write functional design documents and test plans
Prior leadership experience managing internal and external development teams
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Fluent in English (Spanish or German is a plus)
Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship

Previous experience in manufacturing or distribution environments preferred
