Responsibilities
Care for our patients daily by assessing behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift
Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shift and document patient’s behavior
Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients
Orient the patients to the unit and assist them with daily living skills
Provide a safe, clean and therapeutic environment
Provide physical restraint or intervention if appropriate. Training will be provided
Qualification
Required
High School Degree or equivalent is required
At least one (1) year of related experience in an assisted living, residential, or hospital setting
Must be able to work a rotation of 4 days on/2 days off
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push and pull to perform restraints
Must be at least 21 years of age
Preferred
Educational or work experience in psychology, human service, nursing, or social work environments
Psychiatric experience preferred
(1) year experience as a Corpsman in the Military
