Palarum, LLC is seeking an experienced Embedded C Developer to join their engineering team and work on production embedded systems. This hands-on role focuses on firmware development, hardware interaction, and system-level problem solving, collaborating closely with electrical engineers and product teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware primarily in C

Work directly with embedded hardware, peripherals, and RTOS-based systems

Read, understand, and debug electrical schematics and hardware interfaces

Integrate and troubleshoot BLE and related wireless protocols

Participate in system bring-up, debugging, and performance optimization

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware, and QA

Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical documentation

Qualification

Required

Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in embedded systems or a closely related field

Strong proficiency in Embedded C

Demonstrated experience working close to hardware (MCUs, peripherals, registers, interrupts)

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics

Experience debugging embedded systems using tools such as JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers, or oscilloscopes

Comfortable working in a Linux-based development environment

Preferred

Experience with Zephyr RTOS

Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and indoor location or positioning systems

Familiarity with wireless protocols, power-constrained systems, and real-time behavior

Experience bringing up new boards or working with custom hardware
