Responsibilities

Bring your expertise, intuition, and leadership forward in the planning, directing, and execution to help us deliver and build our transportation project portfolio in Iowa
Work on challenging projects where we’ll showcase your expertise with planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of projects
Build a multidiscipline design team to deliver tasks within established schedules & budgets
Help advance our business development strategies
Assist in continuing the development of your skills and exploring all that you can do across our global company

Required

Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or a related discipline
Professional engineering (PE) licensure in the State of Iowa
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to clients, agencies, and the public
Demonstrated progressive experience as an engineer and a project manager in the transportation design field
Brings relationships and experience delivering projects for the Iowa Department of Transportation
Demonstrated knowledge of transportation infrastructure projects
Strong client facing project manager with skills delivering design projects and can bring a team together
Skilled in developing and delivering technical presentations to stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and/or the public
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently as a self-starter
Well-rounded technical design skills encompassing all contributing disciplines

Preferred

15+ years of experience in transportation planning or a closely related field
Experience delivering projects for the South Dakota Department of Transportation and professional licensure in South Dakota or the ability to obtain licensure
Experience utilizing Bentley design software such as Open Roads Designer
Experience in assisting with business development efforts
Ability to and interest in mentoring junior level staff
