Research Professor in Fisheries, Ecology or Related Field
The University of Miami is seeking a part time Research Professor to lead and support long-term ecological monitoring programs in local waters. The role involves conducting and publishing research, performing statistical analyses, and collaborating with various agencies to address environmental challenges.

Responsibilities
Lead and support existing long-term ecological monitoring programs operating in local waters
Ensure the proper design and execution of applied field sampling and laboratory-based experiments
Conduct and publish ecological and fisheries research
Perform advanced statistical analyses
Collaborate with federal, state and county agencies to find solutions to the region’s most pressing environmental problems
Perform modest service functions
Serve on graduate student advisory committees
Potentially teach up to one course per semester in areas relevant to the individual's research interests
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Marine Science, Fisheries, Ecology, or related field
Experience ensuring the proper design and execution of applied field sampling and laboratory-based experiments relevant to assessing the impacts of Everglades restoration, watershed development, fishery management and climate change
Solid track record of conducting and publishing ecological and fisheries research
Performing advanced statistical analyses
Collaborating with federal, state and county agencies to find solutions to the region's most pressing environmental problems
Experience leading major research programs
Contributing broadly to marine science through publication and editorial work
Ability to thrive in dynamic, collaborative, multidisciplinary environments
Expected to perform modest service functions
Serve on graduate student advisory committees
Potentially teach up to one course per semester in areas relevant to the individual's research interests
