Underwriting Intern
New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) is seeking an Underwriting Intern to support their Underwriting Department. The role involves evaluating risks, performing maintenance transactions, monitoring communications, and creating certificates of insurance.

Qualification
Required
Be a permanent New York State (NYS) resident and/or actively enrolled in a NYS college, university, or graduate program
Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part-time students for participation in the program) or be a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate program
Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalent
Able to work full-time Summer (37.50 hours weekly) and (or?) part-time (10-15 hours per week with the opportunity to work more hours depending on availability) fall and spring
