Responsibilities

Provides facility Environmental, Health and Safety support by recognizing, evaluating and implementing controls for chemical, physical, and biological hazards in the workplace
Evaluates compliance with local, state and federal occupational health and safety regulations, laws, rules and codes
Educates and informs employees regarding occupational health and safety hazards
Conduct environmental assessment and engineering investigation for the proposed production system operations
Edit and establish the scopes of ESA, PCA, Desk Reviews, and all other modifications to keep abreast of changing industry standards
Establish and issue policies, procedures, and protocols for waste management and spill prevention
Develop, recommend, and implement programs to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations
Coordinate and manage all on-site hazardous materials, waste management, and anti-spill management
Plan and implement environmental enhancement programs. Ensure that all required permits are obtained and remain current
Manage the waste program and review equipment changes assessing the environmental impact of change
Prepare and present detailed environmental impact reports to the management at periodic meetings
Manage wastewater pretreatment projects providing guidance and direction to technicians
Manage the environmental process in the painting, heat-treat, and wastewater treatment area
Review plans and specifications for assembly equipment to determine whether all environmental protection requirements have been met
Perform safety studies and hold hazard identification workshops for participating engineers and managers

Required

Must possess a Bachelor's Degree, or foreign equivalent in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field
Must possess course work or work experience with: (i) Safety Engineering of Chemical; (ii) Mechanics of Materials; (iii) Engineering of Mechanics; (iv) Safety Assessment Theory; (v) New and Renewable Energy; (vi) General Chemistry; and (vii) Safety Engineering of Electronic Field
