Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end design process for junior women’s sweaters, including concept development, seasonal line planning, and final approvals
Research trends, yarns, stitches, and competitive market insights to create commercially driven assortments tailored to off-price retailers
Oversee technical packages, stitch development, color direction, and fit consistency across all sweater categories
Partner closely with merchandising, production, and overseas factories to ensure margin alignment, cost-effective construction, and on-time development
Present seasonal concepts and assortments to sales teams and key retail partners, adjusting designs based on buyer feedback and sell-through performance
Qualification
Required
7–10+ years of sweater design experience within junior women's apparel, with strong understanding of off-price retail dynamics
Expertise in yarns, sweater construction, stitch development, and technical design fundamentals
Proven ability to balance creativity with commercial viability, designing into sharp price points and retailer-specific needs
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, including experience partnering with overseas factories and production teams
Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and ability to present clear, accurate CADs, tech packs, and design boards
