Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking a Cybersecurity Intern to support their IT & Cybersecurity team. The intern will assist with cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance activities, contributing to ISO 27001 control maintenance and audit preparation while gaining hands-on experience in security operations.

Responsibilities

Support ISO 27001 compliance efforts and audit preparation activities

Assist the security awareness program and coordinate departmental security initiatives

Support the review of system logs, access control lists, and vulnerability remediation reports

Support ITC in maintaining ISO 27001 controls and compliance evidence

Assist in internal audit preparation and document review

Participate in cybersecurity awareness and training content development

Conduct light research on emerging standards, security frameworks, and risk management tools

Required

Current undergraduate or graduate student in Information Security, Computer Science, IT Management, or related field

Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles (confidentiality, integrity, availability)

Enthusiasm for cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC)
