DMV Customer Service Representative Lead

The State of Wisconsin's Division of Motor Vehicles is seeking a DMV Customer Service Representative Lead to oversee the Correspondence Processing Unit. This role involves leading a team in managing incoming correspondence and supporting DMV programs, ensuring efficient processing and compliance with statutory obligations.

Responsibilities

Serve as a lead worker, facilitator, and analyst for the Correspondence Processing Unit
Direct, guide, and mentor the DMV Customer Service Representatives in the unit
Participate in program planning and administration
Work with the unit supervisor and others in the division to accomplish the goals and objectives of the unit
Complete daily tasks including repeated bending and lifting, standing or walking for long periods of time, and frequent lifting up to 30 pounds with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
Verify or enter data in front of a personal computer screen

Required

Experience providing customer service such as identifying and resolving customer problems, answering questions, processing transactions, etc. Customer service may have been provided internally to those in the organization and/or externally to the public or others outside the organization
Experience interpreting and applying laws, regulations, policies, procedures, or other complex documents

Preferred

Experience coordinating, assigning, and reviewing work of other staff members
Experience establishing work schedules
Formal or informal leadership experience
Experience participating on and/or leading DMV projects
Experience providing training to new employees or to employees requiring additional training
Experience resolving conflict amongst team members
