Controller — Multi-Location Operational Organization
Spartan Advisory Solutions is a rapidly expanding organization supporting a network of distributed business locations. They are seeking a Controller who will serve as the financial anchor for various business units, ensuring accurate accounting activities and reporting cycles while elevating financial operations and partnering closely with executive leaders.

Responsibilities
Direct the preparation, review, and distribution of financial reports across all operating units, ensuring leadership has timely and reliable insights
Design, implement, and maintain internal control practices that promote accuracy, safeguard assets, and support clean audit outcomes
Coordinate all audit-related activities, manage external tax partners, and ensure the organization meets all regulatory and filing requirements
Evaluate results across business locations by analyzing revenue streams, expenses, and performance indicators to highlight opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with operational leaders to identify drivers of financial performance and recommend efficiency-focused changes or corrective actions
Oversee daily accounting operations, including billing cycles, receivables, payables, account reconciliation, and related transactional workflows
Lead the organization’s planning cycles—from annual budgeting to ongoing forecasting—ensuring financial assumptions reflect business realities
Track and manage cash positions, banking relationships, treasury movements, and liquidity needs
Develop models and analytics that support strategic decision-making, including long-range planning, investments, and company initiatives
Guide, develop, and mentor accounting team members across onshore and offshore groups, ensuring clarity, consistency, and high-quality output
Work closely with field and departmental leaders to strengthen financial understanding and reinforce accountability throughout the organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; advanced certifications such as CMA are helpful but not required
5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including several years overseeing teams or leading financial operations
Deep familiarity with GAAP standards, audit readiness, and internal control frameworks
Demonstrated ability to interpret financial results, build forecasts, and present data in a clear, actionable way
Strong leadership presence with the ability to collaborate effectively, influence cross-functional partners, and maintain high ethical standards
Preferred
Experience working within multi-location or multi-division environments is strongly preferred
