The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is a non-profit Tribal health organization designed to meet the unique health needs of Alaska Native and American Indian people living in Alaska. The Project Manager III will manage project scoping, planning, funding, approval, and implementation to ensure projects are completed on schedule, while providing strong leadership and guidance to project teams.

Responsibilities

Coordinates and manages projects, incorporating and adhering to project management standards and methodology, using prescribed tools and documents as required to coordinate and manager projects
Successfully manages the scope of the project, including client priorities and expectations of product and services, ensuring customer satisfaction
Tracks the day-to-day activities required to ensure projects are completed on time, successfully, and in a manner consistent with organizational goals, departmental policies, and project objectives and requirements
Coordinates assigned staff in all aspects of the planning, design and implementation of highly complex projects
Manages the integration of tasks and tracks/reviews deliverables
Serves as the lead contact for internal and external customers on assigned projects
Forecasts resource needs and secures skilled staff from resource managers as far in advance as possible
Develops budgets and tracks invoicing as appropriate
Communicates all of the requirements and commitments (both verbally and in writing) for each project with clients, ANTHC staff and management
Participates with other project managers in standards development, educational sessions and process improvement projects
Publishes and maintains status reports, communication plans, risk plans as is consistent with ANMC standards
Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking analysis and project budgets
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

A Bachelor's Degree in project management or related field
Progressively responsible professional/exempt work experience in all aspects of the planning, design and implementation of highly complex projects may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education
Project Manager I: Four (4) years professional work experience managing projects or working in positions using all the aspects of planning, design and implementation of projects
Project Manager II: Seven (7) years professional work experience managing major projects or working in positions using all the aspects of planning, design and implementation of projects
Project Manager III: Ten (10) years professional work experience managing major projects or working in positions using all the aspects of planning, design and implementation of projects
Knowledge and proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
Knowledge of Project management experience to include the use of standard methodologies on complex projects in a healthcare environment
Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers, contractors, and internal and external stakeholders
Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with individuals with a wide array of cultural, political, educational, socio-economic, geographic and linguistic backgrounds
Skill in addressing sensitive issues and situations
Skill in working with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop the business case and project goals and to define project requirements and scope
Skill in integrating team members to develop the integrated project plan and to effectively track status against the established plan

Preferred

Relevant industry related certification/licensure. Four years additional project management work experience may be substituted for certification/licensure
Experience in healthcare operations, data and analytics, and/or information technology in a healthcare environment
