On Call Administrative Support Assistant IV
The City and County of Denver is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a part-time on call Administrative Support Assistant position in their Community Planning and Development Department. The role involves providing administrative support to meetings of appointed boards and commissions, conducting public notifications, and managing application materials.

Responsibilities
Providing administrative support at meetings of appointed boards and commissions (Denver Planning Board and Landmark Preservation Commission), including duties such as managing public comment and board motions, as well as troubleshooting technological issues
Receiving and routing application materials for zoning map amendments, text amendments and comprehensive sign plan applications
Preparing, printing, mailing, and emailing required public notices for receipt of applications (rezoning, demolition, comprehensive sign plan, etc.), public hearings and adoption/approval of applications, plans and amendments
Completing web page updates related to applications, public notice, hearings, board and commission meetings, and adoption/approval
Managing general email inboxes for the Planning and Policy Division of CPD
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
Three (3) years of full performance office support/clerical work (type and level of an Administrative Support Assistant III)
Additional appropriate experience may be substituted for the minimum education requirement
Preferred
Organization and Detail-orientation – Ability to follow detailed steps for a variety of processes, often with minor variations
Independence – Ability to work independently on a variety of administrative tasks, often without help from coworkers
Multitasking - Able to do several tasks at the same time with frequent interruptions
Technical Reading and Understanding – Ability to understand and follow rules for a variety of processes, such as zoning code rules requiring public notice a certain number of calendar days prior to a public hearing or landmark preservation rules requiring public notice within a certain number of weekdays of receiving an application
Written skills – Ability to write in a clear, concise, and organized manner
Interpersonal Skills – Understanding, friendliness, courtesy, tact, empathy, cooperation, concern, and politeness to others and relating well to different people from varied backgrounds and different situations
Teamwork in a Support Environment - Experience supporting interdisciplinary teams and the ability to thrive in a support role
Interest in historic preservation, land-use planning, or regulations
Familiarity with software used to conduct public notification and boards and commission meetings in Denver, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams and Zoom
