Epic Application Analyst (Mid and Associate)
Penn Medicine is dedicated to providing high-level care to patients and conducting innovative research. They are seeking a Mid or Associate EPIC Application Analyst to support the Revenue Cycle by ensuring the effective implementation, optimization, maintenance, and support of Epic System applications.

Responsibilities
Performs analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving of simple and intermediate issues at the technical, interface and application levels. Identifies root-cause, recommends, tests, and implements changes
Collaborates with Epic technical support teams, vendors, and other IS Application teams as needed to address complex technical issues
Communicates problems, issues and potential solutions to team members, clients, and organizational administration
Understands integration between various applications and functionality within those applications. Serves to assure full integration of systems and devices utilizing interfacing standards and vendor provided utilities
Provides customer service and acts as a liaison between the operational departments and Information Services
Utilizes expertise to design, build, install, modify, and test application software to support and optimize operational processes
Clearly defines and articulates to operational stakeholder’s workflow changes that are offered with software/hardware upgrades and best practice solutions as recommended by the vendor
Assists with defining and documenting user requirements and system scope. Reviews and collects information regarding potential system enhancements
Maintains thorough documentation of configurations, customizations, and support processes
Complies with all applicable guidelines, policies, and procedures of Penn Medicine to ensure necessary controls, documentation, and audit trails
Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization
Qualification
Required
H.S. Diploma/GED and 6+ years of relevant experience working within Healthcare Applications or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
Associates degree and 5+ years of relevant experience working within Healthcare Applications or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
Epic Certification, Proficiency, or Accreditation
H.S. Diploma/GED and 4+ years of related IT experience, preferably in healthcare
Associates degree and 3+ years of related IT experience, preferably in healthcare
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field. Individuals with other majors may be considered with internship or other IT related experience
Preferred
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience working within Healthcare Applications or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
Associates degree and 3+ years of related IT experience, preferably in healthcare
