Advanced Practice Provider

Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage SUDs and associated comorbidities, embodying the Steadfast patient-first ethos
Collaborate with all clinic-level team members to formulate and execute patient care plans, including Medical Assistants, Peer Recovery Specialists, and Therapists
Provide expert compassion and patient-centered advocacy through the application of Motivational Interviewing principles
Practice up-to-date, life-saving, cutting-edge SUD therapies with close guidance, oversight and mentorship from specialty-trained addiction experts
Pioneer novel ways of improving access and overall care for disadvantaged, marginalized populations
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care by creating a warm and welcoming environment, fostering trust and strong relationships with patients and communities
Demonstrate flexibility and a proactive attitude in adapting to diverse patient needs and situations
Continuously seek out new knowledge and stay informed on new medical advancements, maintaining a lifelong learning mindset to deliver the best care possible
Provide occasional cross-coverage for inpatient consult APPs as needed, ensuring seamless patient care and team support
Qualification
Required
NP (FNP, AGNP, PMHNP preferred) or PA-C (Internal, Family, Emergency Medicine experience preferred)
Comprehensive medical and/or psychiatric evaluation & management experience in substance use disorder treatment, preferably in an outpatient setting
Strong knowledge of SUD diagnoses, medications, and treatment modalities
Ability to effectively interact with diverse staff, patients, and community members
Excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible, can-do mentality, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Passionate about Steadfast Health's mission to provide low-barrier, non-punitive, harm-reductionist SUD care
Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods while conducting patient visits, charting, and team collaboration
Frequent movement throughout the clinic to interact with patients, team members, and equipment
Ability to operate standard clinical and office equipment, including computers, medical devices, and phones
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., medical supplies, patient records, small equipment)
Visual acuity and manual dexterity sufficient to perform medical procedures, assess patients, and use electronic health record systems
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person and over the phone, including during emotionally charged or crisis situations
Must be able to respond quickly and calmly to urgent or emergency situations in the clinic
